A few good questions

Before you switch.

How do I enable Duo Keyboard?

Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, then select Duo Keyboard. In a text field, hold the globe key and choose Duo Keyboard.

Does it need Full Access?

No. Duo Keyboard works offline and does not require Full Access. Leave that option off.

How do I change the keyboard height?

Tap the height name at the top of the live keyboard to cycle through Compact, Balanced and Roomy. The size selector in the app changes the preview separately.

Will it work on my regular iPhone?

Yes. Duo Keyboard supports iPhones running iOS 17 or later. It was conceived for smaller displays, including the outer display on iPhone Duo. Duo-specific layout validation is still in progress.

Why is Apple’s keyboard appearing instead?

iOS switches to its own keyboard for password and phone-pad fields. Some apps also choose not to allow third-party keyboards. You can hold the globe key to switch keyboards in supported fields.

Does it include autocorrection or swipe typing?

This version offers manual English QWERTY typing, numbers and symbols, shift and caps lock. Predictive text, autocorrection, swipe typing and dictation are not included.

Is Duo Keyboard available yet?

Duo Keyboard is being prepared for the App Store. The planned Australian price is A$2.99 as a one-time purchase. Final availability and regional prices will be shown on the App Store.
